There is a notion that an person or team has to fail first to succeed. We hear this a lot in sports or when some doesn’t have much experience in a given field. While we probably learn more from failures than success it isn’t mandatory we fail. The key succeeding is doing the extra work and preparation required to avoid the killer mistake that ruins what you are trying to accomplish. Most of the time in life you aren’t going to perform perfect. However, if you can reduce and or eliminate major screw ups you can avoid big failures than tend to prevent success.
